Why we opened
Wambu Hardware Limited was founded on a straightforward observation: contractors and homeowners across Samburu County were spending real time and money sourcing materials from Nairobi or Nyahururu, because local supply was thin, inconsistent, or priced by mood. We set out to fix that with a hardware operation that pairs proper stock management with steady, published pricing.
The range has grown to cover everything a construction project in the region is likely to need — cement and structural timber through to roofing, paint, plumbing fittings and everyday hardware supplies. We added an online quoting route so customers can get priced before committing to an order, and we take M-Pesa alongside Equity and KCB transfers so paying is never the slow part of the job.
We are registered with the Kenya Revenue Authority and issue proper documentation with every transaction. Our PIN is P051704967S and it appears on all official quotations and invoices — which matters to the growing number of contractors and developers in the county who run formal businesses and need their suppliers to do the same.
Where we are
Our store is in Maralal, the administrative and commercial centre of Samburu County. The town sits at roughly 1,900 metres in northern Kenya and serves as the hub for the surrounding communities as well as a growing number of development projects.
From here we supply customers across the county, including more distant areas where getting hold of quality building materials has historically meant a long trip to a larger town. We plan logistics with customers for remote site deliveries rather than leaving transport as their problem.

A hardware shop that runs out of what your project depends on is not much use. We hold consistent levels across cement, iron sheets, paint, timber and fittings, and we update inventory records as stock moves so a quoted item is an available item.
